The basic activity of one of the main residents of the Free Economic Zone “Brest” the Belarusian-German joint-venture “Santa Bremor” is fish preserves, tinned seafood and other fish food production. Owing to “Santa” Belarus is considered to be a naval power and Brest is considered to be a big seaport.

40 million US dollars are invested into the fixed capital of the enterprise and more than 3200 workers are employed here. Having a great production potential, high quality standards, broad assortment of products and constant demand “Santa” offers the considerable volume of its products for export.

At present “Santa Bremor” produces diverse fish delicacies, caviar, surimi as well as tasty ice-cream. The enterprise offers over 100 types of Atlantic and Pacific herring products including fish paste, rolls and salads. In 2006, the company produced products in amount of 180 million US dollars, 30 % higher in comparable prices as in 2005.

By the end of the year 2007 JV “Santa Bremor” intends to introduce ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Standards. The company controls the quality of its products in line with the requirements of the HACCP international system and ISO 9001 standards.

The enterprise has its offices and dealer network in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and Kazakhstan and it is an indisputable leader not only at Belarusian preserves markets but other CIS countries markets as well. The company’s products are exported to the USA, Canada, Israel, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia and Lebanon. The fish production of the company has a serial number of the European Union. Since 2008 “Santa” will be able to supply foodstuffs to European Union.

In 2007 the enterprise production was awarded by 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals only on the international exhibition “World Food”. The trade mark “Santa Bremor” became a winner at the nomination “The best herring of the year” at the festival-competition in Ukraine.
