PZL-ŚWIDNIK S.A. was founded in 1951. Majority of shares is owned by Industry Development Agency. AgustaWestland is ready to become the future strategic partner of PZL-Swidnik, and to invest in the capital of the company.

The 56 years experience and implemented quality assurance system conforming to ISO 9001, allowed PZL-ŚWIDNIK S.A. to enter into co-operation with the world-biggest aerospace industry companies, such as Aerospatiale, Eurocopter, Agusta, Latecoere, Dassault, Ratier-Figeac, Snecma, Boeing. Nowadays the enterprise manufactures helicopters and gliders as well as aviation elements: fuselages and its components, centre wing boxes, door mechanisms, control surfaces, fire protection linings.

In 2000 the company was granted Quality System Certificate AQAP-110 (NATO standard) and Certificate of Recognition of the Company’s Ability for Production and Design in Accordance with JAR 21 part G and JA. In December 2005 the Warsaw Stock Exchange awarded PZL-ŚWIDNIK S.A. with the prize of the most innovative Polish enterprise. In June 2005 the company was granted by the President of the Republic with Poland Economic Prize in the category „The best Polish Enterprise”.

By the end of 2008 PZL-ŚWIDNIK is going to have the company employing 3600 people, selling products and services of a value of more than 100 million Euros in almost 50 countries all over the world.
