Actually, the region gains its points in the bio energy and recycling branches. Poland by itself should cover 12% (2200 PJ) of the common Bio energy demand of the European Union. The energy demand of Ukraine and Belarus is increasing. The availability of huge and unexploited bio-resources at low cost as well as the strong agriculture and woodworking branches create ideal prerequisites for a strong potential growth for bio energy production and consumption.
